Coppersea 3 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
From That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Rye Series comes the indie bottler's very first batch of rye whiskey from the Coppersea Distillery in Hudson Valley, New York. Coppersea are all about heritage methods of production, so they grow and floor malt their own grain! This whiskey was made with 100% malted rye, and matured for 3 years before being bottled up at 49.8% ABV. Excelsior!
Batch 1 is a release of 200 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Caraway, freshly baked rye bread, heather honey and a hint of floral grain.
Palate
More baked goods - cinnamon buns and salted caramel brownies, with allspice and nutmeg heat growing.
Finish
Lingering nutmeg and cinnamon.
