just perfect! Just Boeing that Sweden doesnt have this anymore.....
Smoother than 21 yr Macallan with smooth vanilla woody taste that varies with each sip. Take the cap off and sniff - it's like pulling into shore on the West of Ireland's Connemara coast. The turf burning in the air. It's magical. My favorite single malt.
Light and fruity with a distinct smoky and peaty aroma. Silky smooth and honey sweet attack with malt and fruit giving way to fullbodied peat. Complex yet balanced with vanilla oak overtones. Golden honey followed by an extraordinary peat explosion across the mouth and palate. Or the short version: We got a winner here folks! ;-)
As a devoted Connemara drinker I found the 12 yr old to be very mild and smooth, as expected perhaps? I suppose the 12 yrs in the cask took away alot of the fiery and full flavour as one find in all the other Connemara whiskeys. If you are a peat fan and love the turf/smoke/tar explosion in your mouth this is not the whsikey for you. However if you appreciate a mild turf experience this could be the one for you. /mike-stockholm-sweden
