Clynelish 23 Year Old 1995 (cask 11242) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)
Wonderfully well-aged Clynelish is stunning stuff - this is a fact. To prove this fact, what we've got here is a 23 year old Clynelish single malt, distilled back in November 1995 and left to age in a refill sherry butt. In June 2019, it was bottled by the brilliant Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection with an outturn of 592 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Classic waxy, savoury notes up front, followed by layers of chocolate cake and festive spice.
Palate
A slow build of mocha, dried cranberry, basil leaf and citrus peels.
Finish
Brandy snaps, flamed orange peel, menthol and buttery crackers.
