A sublime bottling of Clynelish 22 Year Old 1995 here, bottled at 55.4% ABV by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. This Highland single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in November 1995 and then matured in a single cask refill sherry butt (#11230) before it was cracked open in July 2018. The outturn was 601 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Aromas of dark chocolate, summer berries and salted butter, as well as thick caramel and baking spice.
Palate
Treacle and sherried fruit predominately, with woody tannins and vanilla providing balance.
Finish
Thyme honey and toasted almond.
