A sublime bottling of Clynelish 22 Year Old 1995 here, bottled at 55.4% ABV by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection. This Highland single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in November 1995 and then matured in a single cask refill sherry butt (#11230) before it was cracked open in July 2018. The outturn was 601 bottles.
Nose: Aromas of dark chocolate, summer berries and salted butter, as well as thick caramel and baking spice.
Palate: Treacle and sherried fruit predominately, with woody tannins and vanilla providing balance.
Finish: Thyme honey and toasted almond.
