A Douglas Laing bottling of 21 year old Clynelish single malt Scotch whisky, drawn from a single refill hogshead that matured the whisky from October 1995 to September 2017. This was released as part of the Xtra Old Particular range, reserved for well-aged, rare expressions. This fits the bill nicely. Only 265 bottles were made.
Nose Perfumed malt, with thyme honey and roasted almond in support.
Palate Gingerbread, brandy snaps, a subtle whiff of mineral-y smoke.
Finish Creamy vanilla and golden syrup. A hint of allspice.
