Clynelish 19 Year Old 1996 (cask 6399 & 6400) - Un-Chillfiltered (Signatory)
A Signatory bottling of single malt Scotch whisky from the Clynelish distillery, drawn from a pair of hogshead casks which were filled in June 1996 and cracked open in February 2016. This was bottled as part of the Un-Chillfiltered Collection at 46% ABV, and not a drop was chill-filtered.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Salted butter atop a stack of pancakes, heaps of vanilla and a touch of driftwood.
Palate
Thyme honey and lemon peels. Soon enough, becomes wonderfully juicy with fresh fruit.
Finish
Spiced hot chocolate and lingering fruit.
