Single cask single malt from Clynelish, matured in a hogshead for a dozen years between 2011 and 2023. That cask was opened up by the gang at Douglas Laing, independently releasing a total of 381 bottles for its Old Particular series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Creamy grist and gently herbaceous malt are backed by runny caramel and buttery salted fudge.
Palate
Big, juicy layers of barley and peppery spice tangle, with root ginger and oaken vanilla beneath.
Finish
The ginger lingers, backed by toffee sweetness, charred oak, and a subtle smidge of salinity.
