Carsebridge 42 Year Old 1973 (cask 12366) - The Sovereign (Hunter Laing)
An independently bottled Carsebridge single grain Scotch whisky, aged in a refill hogshead cask for 42 years! Whisky from this distillery is very rare indeed, as it closed all the way back in the 1980s! This was distilled a short while before that fateful decade, in May 1973, and bottled in April 2016 by Hunter Laing for The Sovereign range. 167 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Almond croissants, red grapes and pineapple. A thick layer of caramel covers it all.
Palate
Cherry bakewell, sweet spices and Toffee Crisp bars.
Finish
Quite floral on the finish.
