The 28th instalment in Signatory's 100 Proof Edition is a single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 2014 and matured for a decade until it was bottled in 2024. The whisky was drawn from a host of first-fill and refill oloroso sherry butts and bottled up at a hearty 57.1% ABV.

It's a typical Islay malt powerful nose, smoky ,meaty, plus lemon fruit. No age statement but that's not a negative thing. UCF and no colour added. Very very slight medicinal note but that adds to the flavour.if you like medium peated whisky this is definitely worth a go.! I will purchase it again so perhaps that says more than my limited review. It's very tasty with a good long finish. I can really recommend this one. It's on a par with Ardbeg uigeadail and port Charlotte 10. All are superb .
