This Caol Ila was distilled on the 18th November 1999, and was aged in hogsheads before bottling on the 2nd June 2011. A release of 936 bottles from Signatory.
Coastal and creamy, notes of oak, paraffin, rubber and black pepper. Malty too.
Aniseed curiously, with plenty of oily smoke, toasty oak, malt and brine. Great balance.
Good length with peat smoke and salted caramels.
