The second release in the Old Particular Elements Collection from Douglas Laing is a single grain Scotch whisky produced at the Cameronbridge distillery! Each release from this series focuses on a different element (the first release was an appropriately fiery Craigellachie). This Old Particular in particular is the Air bottling, and it's a light though flavoursome dram aged for 27 years in a single hogshead, from October 1991 to February 2019. A release of 232 bottles.
Cookie dough, good Riesling, caramel shortbread and a hint of beeswax.
Buttery on the palate, with heavy vanilla and a hint of fruity rum.
Lingering oak spice and a dusting of brown sugar.
