Cameronbridge 40 Year Old 1978 (cask 12951) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
A 40 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Cameronbridge, independently bottled by Douglas Laing as part of the Xtra Old Particular range. It was distilled in January 1978 and aged in a refill barrel for four decades before being bottled in November 2018 with an outturn of 207 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Producer
The nose is warming with buttered granary toast, mixed spice and vanilla infused stewed fruits. The palate is deliciously full and sweet with orange zest, boiled sweets and custard creams. The long finish tingles with candied peels, toasted oak and toffee apple.
