Cameronbridge 27 Year Old 1991 (cask 13175) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

A wonderful single grain Scotch whisky from the Cameronbridge Distillery. It was brought into existence back in October 1991, and then went straight into a refill hogshead for over a quarter of a century. After 27 long years had passed, in April 2019 Douglas Laing finally deemed it ready for bottling, releasing 400 bottles at 51.5% ABV for the Old Particular range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Honeyed cereal and buttery cookie dough with chocolate chips and a pinch of salt, cinnamon and oak spice with a hint of new leather.

Palate

Orange marmalade and lemon tart, with vanilla sponge cake and lots of dried fruit, namely apricot.

Finish

Buttery vanilla fudge with a subtle bitter herbal undertone, lifted by a sprinkle of brown sugar.
