Cambus 30 Year Old 1988 (cask 13089) - Xtra Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

An impressive single grain from the now closed Cambus distillery. The whisky was distilled in September 1988, just five years before it closed. After 30 long years in a single refill hogshead, 282 bottles of the liquid were released as part of Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular series in March 2019.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Think Eton mess, with luxurious notes of fresh summer berries, sugar and cream, with accompanying cereal notes.

Palate

Following the same lead as the nose, with strawberry and raspberry, a sprinkle of sugar, toffee and soft, warming spices.

Finish

Gentle fruit sweetness and vanilla fudge.
