Cambus 30 Year Old 1988 (cask 12754) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
30 year old single grain from the closed Cambus distillery, independently bottled for the Old Particular range by Douglas Laing. The whisky was distilled in September 1988 and matured in a refill hogshead until September 2018, when it was bottled at 48.5% ABV with an outturn of 265 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Caramel wafers, fruity coffee and cookie dough ice cream.
Palate
Baking spices start to ramp up on the palate - particularly clove and nutmeg. Still lots of vanilla on show.
Finish
Green apples, melted butter, subtle oak bitterness.
