Cambus 28 Year Old 1988 (cask 11607) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

An independent bottling of 28 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Cambus distillery (its doors were closed for the final time in 1993), drawn from a single refill hogshead which was filled in September 1988 and bottled in March 2017. A release of 280 bottles from Douglas Laing's Old Particular range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Honey-coated plums, with a dusting of icing sugar and cacao.

Palate

Spicier notes of cinnamon and cumin develop, but the vanilla-y sweetness remains the main attraction.

Finish

Spearmint, caramel and milk chocolate.
