Single grain Scotch whisky from a closed distillery, matured for quarter of a century - yeah, that sounds right up our street! This is a Douglas Laing bottling of 25 year old Cambus single grain, distilled in May 1993 and aged in a refill butt until February 2019. 236 bottles were produced.
Well sherried stuff, this. Lots of chocolate raisin and toasted cinnamon notes on the nose.
Continued chocolatey richness, with hints of tinned peach and orange.
A slow build of black pepper and cassia, with a hint of icing sugar.
