Cambus 24 Year Old 1993 - North Star Spirits

Indie single grain from the closed Cambus distillery, drawn from a single Pedro Ximenéz cask and bottled by North Start Spirits. This was distilled in 1993 and matured for 24 years before being bottled in 2017 at cask strength. It's always hard to pass up a chance to taste whisky from closed distilleries, and this one is a proper corker. 210 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

You can smell the rich Sherry notes a mile off, with hints of vanilla and blueberry muffin underneath.

    Palate

A delicate spiciness of cinnamon develops underneath layers of fudge, old brandy and ripe pear.

    Finish

Familiar sticky sweetness that comes from PX Sherries.
