Splendid single malt from Bunnahabhain, released under the Staoisha name, meaning you can expect a good dose of peat here! Matured in four de-charred and re-charred hogsheads for seven years between October 2014 and June 2022, the whisky was independently bottled by Signatory, for the Un-Chilfiltered Collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Charred earth and grilled pineapple, with candied nuts in tow.
Palate
More tropical fruit notes and plenty of dense peat smoke. Singed heather, biscuity malt, and a touch of liquorice follow.
Finish
Smouldering embers, with peppery warmth, salted fudge, and spiced fruit.
