Has there ever been a moment when you've been sipping Bulleit Bourbon and wanted it to have even more rye? Well you're in luck, they now have their own Rye whiskey! Bulleit Rye is made with a mashbill of 95% rye and 5% malted barley and is produced in small batches. An absolutely stunning rye that won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2013.
Big heaps of cherries and vanilla, with subtle notes of leather and tobacco.
Rather hot at first, the spices coming to the forefront. This is followed by peaches, more cherries and a little bit of orange zest.
A smoky finish, carried by cinnamon, allspice and a hint of sweeties.
The Bulleit distillery sure know their way around a rye whiskey.

The smoothest rye I've seen thus far. Makes for a mean Old Fashioned.
The bottle that I am finishing now is not the same GOOD quality of the last 8-10 bottles I have had before. This bottle was weak on flavor with much burn. No rating on this bottle. If I was close to MGP in Lawenceburg, Indiana.....I would take it back to them for my money back. Damn shame to get ripped off like this!!!! BULLEIT RYE . Quallity control like this will put me back to Knobb Creek Rye.
I gave this such a good review based on affordability vs quality. When one compares the two this is a superior malt. As good as 3 tines as expensive Rye's I've had. A good everyday drinker for a Tennessee guy who has obsession with whisk(e)y
The smell is... awkward. , boiled crayfish, wet grass..weird. But don't judge this one by that (or by it's bourbon namesake), this is a smooth, warm , grassy whiskey. Brilliant!
For $25 in my area, this is a great whiskey. Hot an spicy. NICE.
