An early edition of Bruichladdich's Octomore single malt whisky. Peated to 167 PPM, this intense dram qualified as the peatiest whisky in the world at the time of release in 2011!
This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Peat smoke, burning lavender, warm earth, sage, rosemary, floral notes, some sweetness, vanilla and cocoa.
Vanilla, sweet cereals, warm slabs of tangy peat, young maltiness and chili spice. Notes of Nutella spread as well as walnut loaf, caramelised bananas and dark chocolate.
Great length, with the warming, spicy peat notes tingling the tongue for minutes.
