Mask of Death 10 Year Old - Spirit of Voodoo
Dead good single malt Scotch from the independent Spirit of Voodoo series! We can't unmask the distillery, but we do know that this expression was distilled in the Speyside region, and matured for a decade in a combo of virgin oak and first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. If you're ever having a Halloween whisky tasting, this is the bottle to bring along.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Sherried sultanas and creamy rice pudding, with dustings of fresh vanilla, and buttery oak.
Palate
Sweet apple, floral malt, and candied fruits open the way for layers of silky caramel, vanilla, and crème brûlée.
Finish
A touch of herbaceous zest creeps in, alongside clove and cinnamon, while the creamy, floral vanilla lingers.
