Braeval 18 Year Old 2001 (cask 13724) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
18 year old single malt from the Braeval Distillery, which has been independently bottled as part of the Old Particular range by Douglas Laing. This one began life back in May 2001, where it was filled into a single sherry butt and left to age. In November 2019, the whisky was bottled up, producing just 292 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Softly charred oak and toasted barley, balanced by waves of fresh orange and gingerbread.
Palate
Slightly floral on the palate with rose and lavender. Toffee and chocolate sweetness, plus some cinnamon heat.
Finish
Vanilla, black pepper, raisin and honey.
