Braeval 18 Year Old 2001 (cask 13507) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
A sherried Speysider, coming to you in the form of this Braeval single malt! Distilled in May 2001, the spirit was left in a single sherry butt for almost two decades. Douglas Laing bottled the whisky in August 2019 at 18 years old, with 291 bottles released at 48.4% ABV for the Old Particular series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cigar box and well-toasted brown bread, with apricot jam and a touch of wood smoke.
Palate
Oily nuts, candied ginger and lots of clove, with sweet malt and jammy cherry.
Finish
Boiled orange sweeties, with malt biscuit and lots of baking spice.
