Braeval 18 Year Old 1997 (cask 12292) - The First Editions (Hunter Laing)
A Sherry-butt-matured Braeval single malt, bottled by Hunter Laing. It was distilled in 1997 and allowed to mature for 18 years until 2016, when it was bottled for The First Editions range at cask strength. 312 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honey-nut cornflakes, dried fruit, chocolate-coated espresso beans and cinnamon.
Palate
Dates, walnuts, marzipan, cardamom and some sawdust.
Finish
Rhubarb and blueberries, with a hint of grist in there.
