Single cask single malt from the Braeval distillery, bottle by the fantastic Douglas Laing for their Old Particular range. This was distilled in December 1997 and set aside to mature in a single Sherry butt for 18 years. In June 2016, it was bottled with an outturn of 323 bottles.
Honey and cinnamon at first, before layers of dark chocolate and red berries reveal themselves.
Dried fruit, strawberries, a hint of sandalwood.
Rich and sweet on the finish.
