A superb single barrel bourbon. Blanton's Gold is distilled from a mashbill of corn, rye and malted barley. Each bottle is hand filled, sealed, labelled and individually numbered.
Please Note: Unfortunately, the wax atop these Blanton's bottlings is currently prone to cracking. We're informed that this should be a short term problem, but please be aware when purchasing this tasty bourbon. (Don't worry, the delicious liquid inside won't be affected!)
Oaky, dry. Plenty of fruit, mostly dried. Chewy peels, floral. Spicy.
Complex, enjoyable top notes, chewy oak. Dark stone fruits, deep spices, peppy and rich.
Long, toffee, drying.

I did a blind taste test between Blanton’s Gold and Blanton’s single barrel, which I love, surprisingly Gold one.
Love it. It’s smooth and reminds us of a great evening in Washington DC near the White House chatting politics and bourbon. But why can’t we get angels envy in the uk?
I'm a Blanton's fan. I had to order this over the pond. Very refined as opposed to the single barrel not much to the nose sweet on the palate and a great finish. If you like single barrel you are going to love this. Blanton is a sweet bourbon so if you are not a fan of sweet you may not like this Mike
This has a nice main apricot flavour, but can be a little harsh with the extra alcohol content. I have found, that if I add ice and wait a little while, it opens up all the other flavours too.
Too sweet, too much flavor, French vanilla + something else, u like it in the beginning but then... I had nausea. Its not in my list.
