Description
This single malt from Blair Athol matured for a dozen years in a first-fill bourbon hogshead. The cask was cracked open by indie bottler Brave New Spirits, releasing a total of 257 bottles for its Whiskyheroes collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Crisp notes of fresh orchard fruits and cut grass, with honey and biscuity malt in tow.
Palate
Green apples, mellow oak, honey, and maple pastries, with soft fruit and a touch of peppery warmth beneath.
Finish
Toasted oak, pepper, and sweet, tropical fruit notes linger.
