Excellent drop, very smooth and full of flavours
Berry, nuts, spice on the nose with smooth roundness with lingering fruity finish
Is this whisky still un-chill filtered? It is not mentioned on the new black bottle label. Does not taste the same. Less tint compared to previous clear glass bottling. Cheaper sherry casks?
I have been wracking my brain to discern the difference between this bottle I am assessing and the previous ones I have drunk. Firstly, this is put up in a black shaded bottle as opposed to a clear version. There is a change in taste between the two. Ok,... ABV - same, check. Sherry casks - same?, check. 12-years-old - same, check. Un-chill Filtered...... yes on the the same canister as before but NOT on the bottle! I smell a rat and think this is it. Prove me wrong!
As described and some, very smooth and drinkable, very impressed with this dram and I think I’ll get another
