Bivrost Nidavellir
Bivrost's series of single malt whiskies from Arctic Norway continues with Nidavellir, named after one of the nine worlds of Norse mythology - a dark place with golden halls, with the King's Hall protected by a dragon that was once the King's son. This particular expression was initially matured in bourbon casks from Heaven Hill, and finished in some rather well-travelled casks. They were made with French oak, and used to mature wine at a New Zealand winery. After that, they made their way to an Islay distillery to be charred and scored. Finally, they were used to finish this marvellous single malt for five to six months! Phew!

Dried apricot, floral barley, thyme honey and a hint of barrel char.
