Big Peat - Drinks by the Dram Edition
Douglas Laing and Drinks by the Dram have teamed up for a Drinks by the Dram exclusive bottling of Big Peat! This cracking Islay blended malt made its debut in the Drinks by the Dram Advent Calendars, boasting a slightly higher-than-usual ABV and a more peated flavour profile than the classic Big Peat. It very much does Peat's name, rugged beard and natty jumper justice.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Bacon, thyme and a good helping of vanilla-y barley.
Palate
Black pepper, tarry ropes, liquorice, a whiff of menthol and earthy smoke.
Finish
Maritime notes rush in on the finish, with a sweet hint of salted caramel brownie.
