Description
Big Peat has got his Christmas jumper on once again, which can only mean one thing - it's time for another edition of Big Peat at Christmas! For 2017, Douglas Laing have blended seven different Islay single malts (including whisky from the revered Port Ellen) together and bottled it up at cask strength. A fantastic winter warmer.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Roasted peanuts, sea breeze, hints of spearmint and tarry ropes.
Palate
Campfire embers with toasted marshmallows and milk chocolate. Subtly oak at points.
Finish
Oily malt, pine nuts and a lingering earthy quality.
