“Benromach have made a very interesting whisky here. It's not for everyone as it has its own industrial funk, especially after giving it a little bit of water. This is now my go to and at £60 is crazy value for a cask strength 10 Year old whisky. I can only hope it stays off the radar so that I can stock up.”

Description
Released in vintage batches, this peated Speysider from Benromach is matured in a host of first-fill bourbon and sherry casks before it's bottled up at cask strength. A dash of water won't hurt when exploring its divine layers of zesty sherried fruit, rich chocolate, and delicate smoke. A tremendously satisfying sipper – the brilliance of Benromach strikes again!

Nose
Burnt cinnamon biscuits, stewed stone fruits, rich oak, cacao.
Palate
Zesty notes of flamed orange and sweet cooked apples are backed by sweet peat while warming nutmeg and pepper nestle beneath.
Finish
Smoked liquorice, dark chocolate, plum crumble, oak char, and peppercorn heat.
