This thirteen year old Benrinnes was bottled by Douglas Laing for the 20cl range of their Old Malt Cask brand. These are known as the 'Advance Samples' and are designed to replicate the sample bottles the Laing brothers are sent to try when selecting the casks they may later bottle.
Floral at first but then opening up into butter fudge and grapefruit aromas.
The palate demonstrate notes of toffee, citrus peel and spiced honey.
The finish is satisfying with chocolate éclairs and a pinch of spice.
A warm aroma and a fulfilling flavour and finish.
