Sherry

This single malt from Benrinnes joins the range from independent bottler Wilson & Morgan. Distilled in 2011, the whisky matured until 2022, including a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
A host of fresh apples and pears are followed by sweet peaches and dried berries, joined by waves of buttery pastry.
Floral orchard honey and fragrant dried spices mingle, while oaken caramel and soaked sultanas bring sweetness to buttered malt loaf.
Things stay fruity, with notes of blueberry pancakes, candied nuts, milk chocolate, and vanilla cream.

Brutal disappointment! Don't be stupid to buy it! The whiskey Benrinnes 2011 - fine, very pleasant sweeter line, good nose, pleasant light sweet caramel taste, with a chocolatey, coffee finish, somewhat dry and short finish. Such a nice beginner's whiskey. BUT finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks - A LIE! Color, smell, taste - PX is nowhere to be found. Or should I buy a microscope? IF YOU WANT SHERRY, everything else is a better choice for this money! Glenallachie 12, Glenallachie 10 CS, Old Perth PX limited, etc. ANYTHING ELSE. Wilson & Morgan Whiskey bottler - I took it off the whiskey palette because it's a scam for the customer!
