Bourbon
Distilled in June 2007, this Benrinnes was whacked straight into a pair of bourbon barrels for just over a decade. After 11 years of ageing, Signatory decided it was time to bottle the single malt in February 2019, and did so, bottling the Highlander at 43% ABV.
Walnut and banana loaf, roasted coffee bean, salted peanuts and orange oil.
Oak spice alongside cinnamon and nutmeg, with toffee, sweet malt and fresh hay.
Caramelised brown sugar and gingerbread.

Really good, uncomplicated bourbon cask flavours. Quite fresh on the palate, little bit of spice on the finish for me. Perhaps a good one to start a flight or as an aperitif? Would definitely buy again at this price - very good value single malt.
This one's a real cracker. An abolute steal for the price.
