Sherry
From the Benriach distillery up in Speyside comes a 20 year old single malt, independently bottled by Signatory for the cracking Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled in May 2000, and firstly matured in refill butt casks, before being moved over to a fresh sherry butt for a six month finishing period. In February 2021, it was bottled up at cask strength, with 706 bottles released.
Espresso, cedar, roasted nuts, chocolate mousse and a smidge of orange oil.
Pain au chocolat, prunes, almond flakes, cinnamon, gingerbread.
Malt loaf with a thin layer of butter, as well as simmering spices.
