Tried this at a whisky bar and could not forget it. Ordered me a bottle online. For the age and price this is very very good! Very distinctive taste.
Pour a few nobblers in a snifter glass and let it breathe for 3x its age (30 mins in this case) and you will be rewarded with a tipple that is 3x better than if you imbibed straight away. This Whisky is totally different to any mainstream example in its profile, and as a result needs to be treated differently.
Classy dessert whiskey, not very complex but very pleasant dark flavor profile. Value for the money is just wow!

Great to see they have toned down the E150 and chill filtration a lot in this new revamped version of Ben Nevis. As for the whisky itself it is somewhere between a Springbank 10 and a bourbon cask Benromach. Quite sweet and thick to start then comes a blast of citrus followed by a BIG resinous mineral salty finish, which lasts for a long time turning in a Benylin cough medicine taste. Really impressed as to how much character this whisky has and the way it all works together from start to finish. Amazing value for money providing you like this style of whisky, it isn't a smooth and easy whisky for sure.
