I was always a fan of Ben Nevis 10, so I was a little concerned when I saw this new presentation - and I was right to be. Firstly - a small point - I don't like the coloured bottle. When I poured a dram, it looked much paler and the nose didn't entice. Despite the 46%, it seemed thin and weak and not at all like the robust whisky I have reviewed previously. I did have the bottle open for several hours before sampling so it did have time to 'breathe'. There are merely my first impressions. Perhaps, in time, when I go back, it will taste better but, at the moment, I can only recommend that if you see the old version, grab while you can.
