Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.

Oh god, I take back what I said in the previous review, I just got a new bottle and it's permeated with one of the worst tastes I've ever experienced. I assume it's just a bad batch, but if a bad batch exists it's certainly not a good recommendation for beginners. I'm gonna have to pour this one straight down the drain I reckon
AFAIK, the only additive permitted to whisky is caramel, so all the reviewers talking about a chemical taste are talking through the top of their hats. Am just enjoying a double Bella with 2 ice cubes in my local Spoons and was struck by its peatiness. A lot of these reviews seems to be based on whisky snobbery and I am willing to bet that if you gave Bella on the rocks to many of those who have reviewed it negatively in a blind taste taste, they would probably rave about it and say it was a delicate single Islay malt. Great blend, which IMHO has improved vastly over the decades.
Really horrible, I can drink pretty much anything and enjoy it, I used to quite like Bells as a mixed drink, now it tastes like antiseptic. I have a nearly full bottle and may have to pour it down the drain.
I've had customers turn their nose up just hearing this was the house whiskey, and fair reason, whatever it used to be like it's random stuff now. Could get paint stripper, could get smooth, could get smokey, you never know. It's the cheapest stuff on the shelf next to home brand supermarket stuff for a reason, a shame but hopefully bad press will make them fix it.
Absolutely dreadful whisky. No character whatsoever and induces heartburn. Worst blend ever.
