An independently bottled Balmenach single malt, aged for 27 years in a single hogshead cask. Said hoggie was filled in October 1988 and opened in 2016 by the chaps from Signatory for their Cask Strength Collection with an outturn of 187 bottles.
Thyme honey, fresh green apples, a slight hint of toasted oak staves.
Walnuts and almonds, with a hint of cherry. Oak warmth grows and grows.
Crunchy brown sugar and mint.
