A single cask bottling of Balmenach single malt Scotch whisky, aged for 26 years in a hogshead. This was distilled in October 1988 and allowed to mature for just over a quarter of a century, until October 2015, when it was bottled by Signatory. 231 bottles of this Speyside whisky were produced, presented at 56.6% ABV.
Nose: Bushels of green apples, vanilla custard and some brown sugar.
Palate: Ripe banana, almond and dried cherries. A subtle touch of smoke.
Finish: Oily walnuts and leafy herbs.
