    Balmenach 15 Year Old 2004 (cask 14177) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)

    A lesser-spotted Balmenach single malt! This one was bottle by Douglas Laing, after being distilled in 2004 and rested in a single refill barrel for 15 years. Eventually, 266 bottles were released for the Old Particular range at 48.4% ABV.

    Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

    Milky coffee, orange chocolate, and gingersnap biscuits.

    Palate

    More toasty mocha notes, along with bourbon biscuits and oak spice.

    Finish

    A spiced, warming finish, with ginger and peppery oak, balanced by some boiled sweeties.
