Balblair 8 Year Old 2010 (cask 13459) - Provenance (Douglas Laing)
This indie single cask Balbalir was distilled in the Highlands in September 2010, and left in a refill hogshead. After eight years, in August 2019, Douglas Laing cracked open the cask and bottled the single malt, with an outturn of 390 bottles for the Provenance series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Green oak, orange ice cream and grist, with some oak spice coming through.
Palate
Spiced apple and rhubarb crumble, followed by chai latte and orange starburst.
Finish
Porridge with a good helping of cream and brown sugar.
