Bourbon
A rather fetching indie bottling from Italy's Hidden Spirits, featuring 10 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Aultmore Distillery. This one was aged in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel from 2010 to 2010, when it was bottled up at 51.3% ABV, which labels featuring a rather picturesque sunset on them. Or sunrise. There isn't a compass on the label, so we can't quite figure if we're facing east or west.
Custard creams, diced almonds, freshly cut oak leading into warming baking spices.
Oily malt with a hint of hoppy brightness to it, mellowed by vanilla wafers, milk chocolate and macadamia nuts.
Slightly grassy, with a smidge of sultana coming through.
