Single Malt
Scotland

A lovely Ardmore single malt, distilled in September 2008 and aged in a pair of hogsheads. After a decade had passed this Highlander was bottled at 43% ABV in March 2019 by Signatory.
Lemon curd and vanilla cheesecake, sweet barley, and salted caramel ice cream.
Mint dark chocolate, frosted cornflakes and toasted oak with candied citrus peel.
Dark plums and waxy peels, with more of that toasted oak lingering on the finish.

A pleasant light whisky. Sweet and easy drinking. The MoM description is pretty spot-on - the only thing I didn't get was the mint dark chocolate - for me, it was all vanilla custard. So, no great complexity here and I probably wouldn't buy another but I'll enjoy this bottle well enough while it lasts.
