An impressive bottle of Auchroisk, distilled in August of 1990 and matured in a refill butt for a long 27 years, after which time it was cracked open and bottled in July 2018 by Signatory Vintage. An outturn of 551 bottles were released at cask strength, a punchy 53.7% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Currants, gingersnap biscuits, with honeyed nuts buttery fudge.
Palate
Fresh toast, roasted walnut, caramelised hazelnuts and a drizzle of melted white chocolate with just a hint of pepper spice.
Finish
Buttery, flaky cinnamon swirls.
