In 1994, this whisky was placed into a refill hogshead and set aside to slumber for 25 years, then bottled at 41.5% ABV with an outturn of 241 bottles. Yet another tasty expression from Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular range.

Nose
Forest floor earthiness, with honeyed barley and ground cinnamon offering a subtly sweet balance.
Palate
Pear, apple and peach, followed by more honey and a touch of oatcake.
Finish
Toasted coconut, pineapple, gingerbread and peppercorn.
