An ace Auchroisk, independently bottled by Hunter Laing for The First Edition range, which is inspired by vintage books (geddit? First Editions? Books? It works!). This one was distilled back in 1994, and then left to slumber soundly for 24 years in a refill hogshead, only to be bottled up in 2018. 275 bottles were produced.
Custard creams and vanilla sponge topped with fresh strawberries.
Still packs plenty of vanilla, with a hint of Alpine herb freshness sneaking in along the way.
Dry oak, pear, Brazil nuts.
